Low Stock Alerts
The Inventory page counts products with 2 units or fewer so you can reorder before a repair is stuck.
Where to see it
- Open Inventory.
- The amber tile Low stock (≤ 2) shows how many products qualify.
- Click the tile to filter the list to those products only. Click again to clear.
The marketing dashboard on expedite.business describes this as live stock value and low-stock alerts. In the app, the working control is this tile + filter — not a separate email/WhatsApp alert centre.
What counts as low
A product is counted when:
- Stock is a real quantity (not unlimited), and
- Units on hand are 2 or fewer (including 0), and
- The product is active (inactive rows are skipped).
Stock -1 (unlimited / service) is never low stock and is not added into "units in stock".
While you are viewing Status: Inactive, the Low stock tile is switched off — inactive products never raise reorder warnings, so the filter would promise a signal the app does not produce.
What to do next
- Edit the product and raise stock after a purchase (logged as an adjustment in stock history).
- Or receive stock via your usual purchase/expense flow if you record supplier bills that way.
- Jobs waiting on a part should use workflow status Waiting parts — see Status pipeline.
Low-stock counts are per branch. Switch branch (or open another location's catalog) to see that shop's shelf, not a company-wide pool. See Multi-branch inventory.
